Hofmann verstarb am Dienstagmorgen in seinem Haus in Burg BL, wie die Gemeindeschreiberin des kleinen Orts im Leimental auf Anfrage bestätigte. Nähere Angaben konnte sie nicht machen. Hofmann war bis zuletzt aktiv und korrespondierte weltweit.

Im Januar hatte er seinen 102. Geburtstag feiern können. Der am 11. Januar 1906 in Baden geborene Forscher war von 1929 bis 1971 in den pharmazeutischen Labors der Basler Sandoz tätig. Er untersuchte Wirkstoffe aus der Natur, aus denen erfolgreiche Arzneimittel hervorgingen, aber auch psychoaktive Substanzen....

Aus Anlass des 100. Geburtstags von Dr. Albert Hofmann am 11. Januar 2006 veranstaltete die Gaia Media Stiftung ein internationales Symposium zur bekanntesten und umstrittensten Entdeckung dieses herausragenden Wissenschaftlers.

LSD - drei Buchstaben veränderten die Welt. Seit dem 19.
