Nithonat is a fully synthesized drum machine based on the classic 606. The unique sound of this machine has been used by many artists over the years in the production of Electro, Hip-Hop and R n B. The original 606 has been perfectly emulated. However, since Nithonat is software based, D16 were able to enhance the original with extra functionality.

Full control over the sound

On the original 606, the only editable sound parameter was volume. D16 have added to the original and as a result, Nithonat is equipped with extra controls which allow each sound to be shaped in ways which were not possible in the original machine.

A whole spectrum of sounds is now at you fingertips – rumbling kicks, rustling snares and completely synthesized and unnatural sounding toms and hi-hats.

For the first time since the 80s, it is now possible to hear what the analogue synthesis of the 606 is truly capable off!

One of a kind

Nithonat was designed completely from the ground up. Its synthesis is special – even when compared to Nepheton’s. It has very unique and characteristic hi-hat and cymbal sounds which are due to the emulated structure of the circuits in the original. The bass drum has unparalleled attack character and strong punch. The snare sounds sandy.

These unique attributes guarantee that our 606 is not a sub-standard 808 but is a great instrument with a unique timbre which will bring an old school feel to any track it is used on.

New dimension of creativity

Nithonat has a powerful built-in internal sequencer. The tracks can be edited in a very simple and intuitive way and modified with many useful functions. The clear GUI means that sequencer is very easy to use.

In addition to having many internal sequencer modes, Nithonat can also be used as a sound module. All sounds and functions within Nithonat can be controlled from a host sequencer.

Experimenting with Nithonat can give interesting and unexpected results. Operation of Nithonat is very similar to Drumazon and Nepheton – having knowledge of these will mean that using Nithonat will not require much manual reading!

Good choice

For a fraction of the price of Drumazon and Nepheton, Nithonat provides a drum machine which has as many editing tools as its more expensive siblings.

aspect of the Humanize engine, from extreme effects to complete
bypassing, can be controlled by the user.

EZROOM

EZRoom
is an integrated convolution reverb option, allowing the user to
instantly place the percussion instruments in one of more than fifty
different custom sonic spaces; everything from chapels and halls to
caverns, small rooms, and unique esoteric spaces is included. When
EZRoom is activated, new knobs for dry and wet levels appear, allowing
full control over the level and balance of the convoluted sound.

ARTICULATIONS AND TRIGGERS

Elite
Orchestral Percussion also features an extensive custom articulation
and trigger engine. Built-in custom articulations include choke, flam,
3-stroke roll (16th notes), 3-stroke roll (32nd notes), 3-stroke roll
(64th notes), roll (32nd notes), and roll (64th notes). Each of these
are tempo-synced as appropriate, and can be customized in detail.

Furthermore,
Elite Orchestral Percussion allows for the creation of rhythmic
patterns which are triggered by the engine. Up to 25 user patterns can
be programmed in each instrument, and some prebuilt patterns are
included in each instrument by default. The pattern engine is capable
of everything from traditional patterns to wild and unusual synthetic
effects, all of which lock instantly and perfectly to host tempo.

Orchestral Percussion is compatible with both Macintosh and Windows
platforms and includes the standalone Kontakt Player 2 application as
well as AudioUnit, VST, RTAS, and DXi plug-ins. All of these versions
ship in the same box.

The
Macintosh version requires a G4 1.4gHz or faster, 512MB of RAM, a DVD
drive, and OS 10.4.x or higher. It ships as a Universal Binary and is
fully compatible with Intel Macs. For optimum performance, Vir2
Instruments recommends a G5 or Intel-powered Mac, and a minimum of 1GB
of RAM. The library requires 19GB of free hard drive space.

The
Windows version requires a processor speed of 1.4gHz or higher, 512MB
of RAM, a DVD drive, and Windows XP SP2 or Windows Vista 32-bit. For
optimum performance, Vir2 Instruments recommends a minimum of 1GB of
RAM. The library requires 19GB of free hard drive space.

Orchestral Percussion will run in standalone mode and is also
compatible with every major sequencing package in the world, including
but not limited to: Apple Logic and GarageBand, MOTU Digital Performer,

The amp, speakers and FX


The ManyBass engine is equipped with a custom amplifier and speaker cabinet emulator and an FX rack designed and tuned for Bass type sounds. This set up allows the musician to take the Manytone bass samples to new levels of reality.

The amplifier has three modes

The amp also has a 3 band EQ unit with an adjustable mid frequency control.


The speaker cabinet emulator gives seven speaker size options. Each speaker also allows choice of single cone or 4 cones for a total of 14 different cabinet possibilities. (in addition to bypass):

So how are ManyBass and ManyGuitar different?


ManyBass is intended to create bass sounds. The amp sims and FX in ManyBass have been designed and tuned to work and sound better with bass sounds. Likewise the FX and amp sims in ManyGuitar are tuned for guitar type sounds. ManyBass also adds additional new features like the sample browser, 4 layer keyswitching, midi cc learn, a flanger and the new compressor. Some of these new ManyBass features will make it into the Version 2 of ManyGuitar, until then though, ManyBass is a much more advanced instrument on the whole. Each Product contains completely different samples:


[*]ManyBass has 2.4 gig of new Bass Guitar Samples. Also, as ManyTone has already released 3 Bass Sample packs available separately, we wanted an instrument that specialized in playing these type of sounds.
[*]ManyGuitar contains 1.2 gig of samples that includes both guitar and bass samples. In the future you can expect to see ManyGuitar develop into a stronger guitar based instrument, with additional features and sounds geared towards acoustic and electric guitars.

In designing ManyBass the focus has been on detailed and highly playable sounds - this is the same for all Manytone instruments. Most of the soundsets include over 130 multi-samples for stunning levels of detail, with special layers (such as slides, harmonics, string noises, and mutes). Add to this the fact that ManyBass allows you to load up to 4 different soundsets, selected via keyswitching, so you will have an extensive range of sounds available at your fingertips for instant playing or sequencing.


ManyBass will also load soundsets in both Wusik wusikSND and Dash Signature dashSND format. This means that as well as the libraries that are already available for WusikStation from Wusik and EVE from Dash Signature, all of the existing ManyTone soundsets can be loaded into ManyBass to take advantage of the amplifier/cabinet treatments as well as the well stocked FX rack. Of course, the ManyBass soundsets can also be loaded into other products that use the wusiksnd sound format.

As well as the soundsets, there are many presets produced by professional sound designers, including Greg Schlaepfer, Manytone, and others. These presets along with the included Sound and FX wizards, provide an endless variety of sounds and styles you can call up with only a few mouse clicks.

What are the minimum specifications for my computer?


You can run ManyBass on lower specified machines, however, we recommend as a minimum:


[*]your CPU should be SSE enabled[*]256 MB of RAM as the absolute minimum - 512 MB is acceptable and 1 gig or more is preferred if you wish to layer and keyswitch the larger soundsets.

What is a KSP Script?

Way more than just a sound library, Scriptorium is a collection of unique KSP scripts - kind of like 'plug-ins' for Kontakt. A different concept entirely to traditional effects like compressors or reverbs, these ingenious tools open up new worlds of sonic possibility within Kontakt. KSP allows you to manipulate Kontakt parameters at a microscopic level, creating new behaviours, unique timbral characters or even generative sequences.

Analogue Oscillators II.nkp
This script will cause each note to drift in pitch slightly, and independently of each other, like old analogue oscillators sometimes do.

Backdrop.nkp
Allows you to designate a sound as a 'backdrop', which will just sustain behind whatever else you play without retriggering or changing pitch or playing more than one note of that sound.

Bounce.nkp
Creates a 'bouncing ball' delay effect.

Brainwave Detune.nkp
Detunes the keyboard by a constant hertz value, so that the beat frequency remains constant. frequencies are fixed at brainwave frequencies for mind altering states.

Cellular Automata.nkp
This script imitates cellular automata

Chord Memory.nkp
Chord Memory is a simple way to store a chord for each pitch on the keyboard.

Controller Delay.nkp
Controller Delay allows you to copy an input controller (i.e.. the Mod Wheel) and duplicate it on another controller a certain amount of time later... thus echoing the input controller.

Controller Wobbler II.nkp
Controller Wobbler generates random controller streams while a note is held down. It allows you to generate up to 5 controller different streams.

A script to make rhythmic gating of Instruments easy and flexible.

Gauss Generator.nkp
This script generates an approximation of Gaussian noise, which it will output to a MIDI controller, or to notes, or to both.

For all your Penderecki (The Shining) or other horror-film-type string patches.

Glitch Machine.nkp
Glitch Machine generates repeated notes (drills) on a given range of keys, if a special trigger key is held down. The character of the drill can be modulated by a MIDI controller. From Konkrete Drums.

Group Delay.nkp
Group Delay allows you to delay the response of your groups in units of rhythm.

Group Phase Offset.nkp
allows you to delay the response of your groups in units as small as 1/10th of a millisecond. this allows very precise layering of waveforms.

Group Random.nkp
This script turns on groups in random sequence.

Group Sequencer.nkp
This script turns on groups in a sequence of up to 32 steps that you can define Itís a bit like ìRound Robinî on steroids.

Jammer.nkp
Jammer is a performance tool for generating random-ish notes. Itís similar to an arpeggiator in that notes you hold down will be played automatically, but the note triggered is randomly selected from those you hold down. From ' Hang Drum'

Just Intonation.nkp
this script allows you to experiment with just intonations. You can store up to twelve notes (one per key class), and you can ìTransposeî the entire output.

Kotekan.nkp
This script generates a response note after your played note (at note-off time of the input note), of the same duration as the played note, but usually a different pitch.The intent is to generate a ìsecond playerî that plays notes in between your notes...

Left Hand Free.nkp
A performance based script to split the keyboard in such a way that the sustain pedal only works in the lower register, and the pitch bend only works in the upper register. This can be very useful for live performance.

LFO Design.nkp
LFO Design lets you draw a waveform, which is then sent to a controller defined by ìCCî in the lower right corner.

Mobile.nkp
Mobile is a group manipulation script, in which sound objects are able to drift in time, a bit like objects on a hanging mobile drift in space.

Mobile Drums.nkp
Mobile Drums is similar to the previous Mobile script, in that the position of hits are able to drift freely, but this script is optimized for use with drum kits.

Mod Wheel Glissando.nkp
This script will let you ìstrumî a glissando, like a harp, using the Mod Wheel or any other controller.

Morse Code.nkp
Choose your words and letters, and listen to the rhythm of those letters in Morse code.

Organ Stops.nkp
A simple script for building organ Instruments.

Pentagonal Pyramid.nkp
A chord generator that only works on the black keys.. specifically for use with pentatonic scales.

Phraser.nkp
Phraser is a type of sequencer that allows you to record and then manipulate a monophonic phrase to a polyphonic output.

Pitch Filter.nkp
This script will only allow pitches through that are selected in the interface.

Ring Harmonizer.nkp
This script creates a harmony in a similar way to a Ring Modulator, except that it does not work on the audio itself, but on the last two notes of input.

Shredder.nkp
Shredder keeps playing notes at the speed you set, but randomly jumps around in the sample to different places.

Tape Wow II.nkp
Simulates a bad old tape machine, or the pitch drift found in old National Film Board of Canada documentaries. an updated version of the Abstrakt Vol.1 script.

Tremolo Control II.nkp
This script generates a tremolo if a certain key is depressed. an updated version of the Kim Tremolo script.

Unison Z.nkp
The ultimate osc detune script, with dry and wet control, spread, sample start offset and fade in.
