o Duplicate notes in drum map manager would crash SONAR
o Inserting an effect into a track with the per-track EQ set to post-FX Bin would cause a crash.
o AudioSnap clip rendering could not be cancelled by the user
o Audio Export file type defaulted to AIFF after exporting an MP3
o SendLocalOn TTSEQ.INI variable was not functioning properly
o Track Inspector did not always update to the selected track
o Synth freeze failed when a post-fader send was assigned to a sidechain input
o Opening and closing Clip Properties dialog sometimes changed clip length
o Reverting clips to original time stamp sometimes failed after original clip was split
o Cropping audio and MIDI clips that are at time 0 sometimes caused the clip's contents to shift in time
o Intermittent audio stuttering, aka "motorboating", during playback with certain audio hardware and system configurations is corrected
o Freezing a synth sometimes caused bus automation to be ignored
o Sysex banks were never rendered to soft synths when exporting or bouncing a project containing sysex banks
o Saving Cakewalk Bundle Files with mixed audio bit depths could fail when the total size exceeded 2GB if the individual audio files were under 2GB
o In the Staff View, noteheads and the time ruler sometimes displayed incorrectly during playback.
o SONAR reported installation issues on some systems loaded with an OEM version of Microsoft Vista.
* Piano Roll View
o Painting new CCs in multi-track Piano Roll View sometimes caused CCs from other tracks in the PRV to be erased
o When inserting a note on a hidden track, the track was not made visible
o Lasso selecting notes and moving the selection offscreen caused original notes to become unselected
* Automation
o SONAR would sometimes crash when adding bus envelopes
o Automation from synths in the Synth Rack could not be edited
o Editing automation during playback was not always rendered immediately
* External Inserts
o Assigning a series of track inputs when an External Insert was in the project would sometimes cause SONAR to freeze
o Did not retain mono routings
o Failed to launch help when pressing F1
* Step Sequencer
o Current step display indicators sometimes got out of sync when editing patterns during playback
o Track transpose (Key+/-) settings were ignored on input
* Plug-ins and Components
o When dragging MIDI data from a V-Vocal pitch-to-MIDI operation, the new MIDI clip was not always created at the drop point
o Paging through Z3TA+ patches sometimes caused a crash
o Improvements made to match mode in PCR-30, PCR-300 and ACT MIDI Control Surface plug-ins
o Send pre/post and enable buttons were not exposed to Control Surfaces
o SONAR did not refresh preset lists when requested by VST plug-ins
* Third Party Issues
o Inserting Korg LegacyCell or Steinberg Hypersonic would crash SONAR
o Bounced tracks that contained VST plug-ins requiring delay compensation would sometimes include artifacts from extra buffers
o V-Station PowerCore was disabled upon inserting into SONAR
o UAD-1 displayed an Err=30 message when changing audio driver buffer size

Devastor is a simple Multiband Distortion Unit. It is an enhanced version of the distortion unit from Phoscyon.
Devastor consists of three blocks: dynamic-gain module, diode-clipper distortion and three filter sections. Each of the filters can process the signal before or after the diode-clipper. The filters are not the peaking EQ type which are used in classic multiband distortion They are like those found in analogue synthesizers (low pass, high pass, band pass and band reject) - with adjustable resonance and cutoff. As a result, Devastor has a completely unique sound.
Devastor can be used to distort and enhance a wide range of sounds - from full-on acid synth sounds to guitar fuzz or analogue amp with combo speaker. It can even be used with drums to make them sound more dirty and dynamic. Devastor isn't just good at creating distorted monster sounds. It can also be used subtlety to improve the timbre and character of more gentle sounds. Reducing the preamp gain, increasing the threshold and selecting a soft-knee for the dynamics will bring out more warmth and detail in a sound without introducing distortion.

It has a large, easy to use, dial and simple parameters making it a fast and creative effect unit. It has a range of two semi-tones to two octaves, which gives you control from subtle tuning changes to wild swings of pitch. The user pointer acts as a desired pitch change, and the actual pitch is produced by smoothing and inertia controls. Pitchwheel moves towards the desired pitch at sample accuracy, enabling nice transitions without stepping. A DJ turntable feel can be created with some play, but the difference here is that the tempo remains the same, so your track can go on without sequence timing changes.
You can of course use it static, to create odd alien sounds, and character changes. Doppler effects can be simulated easily, or just use it to alter background atmospheres in real-time to get them just right.

Alpha 3 allows Frequency Modulation of the Filters Cutoff, a feature
only found in very few Synthesizers. The source of the Filter FM can
be any oscillator, even noise. Together with the Ringmodulator which
can be gradually morphed from pure Oscillator 2 over
Amplitude-Modulation to Ring-Modulation this is a guaratee for some of
very finest and most excotic sounds a classic subtractive synth can
produce.
Alpha 3 has two oscillators with each producing a continuously
adjustable mix of 2 from 30 waveforms. Taking into account that both
basic waveform can have a different pitch already allows for thousands
of resulting waveforms. But dont worry, our concept of handling is
dead easy, pick the waveforms and adjust the mix. Done.

Compatibility
syntAX is compatible with both Macintosh and Windows platforms and

The Macintosh version requires a G4 1.4gHz or faster, 512MB of RAM,
a DVD drive, and OS 10.4.x or higher. It ships as a Universal Binary

Instruments recommends a G5 or Intel-powered Mac, and a minimum of 1GB
of RAM. The library requires 3.6GB of free hard drive space.
The Windows version requires a processor speed of 1.4gHz or higher,

The Jupiter-8V is the newest addition to the family Arturia?s analog
synthesizer recreations. Offering the unique sound palette of the
Roland Jupiter 8, this virtual version is a sound designer?s dream.
Based on the latest version of TAE?, the Jupiter-8V also offers a host
of modern features: an advanced step sequencer, a new line of dynamic
effects, a module combining LFO?s (called Galaxy), and lots more?

A LITTLE BIT OF HISTORY...
Back to the early 80?s, the Prophet 5 and Oberheim OB series dominated
the polyphonic synthesizer market. Having that in mind the Jupiter-8?s
success, initiated in 1981, took every one by storm.
But what made the Jupiter-8 so successful? Well, in terms of sonic
possibilities, it complemented its competition by bringing something
different. The Jupiter-8 was capable of creating very versatile sounds.
You could easily make 'fat' or ?Crystal? sounds with it. In fact, the
Jupiter-8 sounded the way it looked, ?sleek and polished?.
The electro-pop community became quickly convinced by the qualities of
the Jupiter-8.'Relax', by Frankie Goes to Hollywood was produced
incorporating a Jupiter 8, and players such as Vince Clarke, John Foxx,
and Martyn Ware were also using it. The path to classic status of the
Jupiter started there. Other artists that have used The Jupiter-8
include Tangerine Dream, Underworld, Jean Michel Jarre, Depeche Mode,
Prince, Gary Wright, Adrian Lee, Heaven 17, Kitaro, Elvis Costello,
Tears for Fears, Huey Lewis and the News, Journey, Devo,Freddy Fresh,
Simple Minds, Jan Hammer and BT.
AN ACCURATE RECREATION OF THE ROLAND JUPITER-8
The legacy of the Roland Jupiter synthesizers is due to their unique
voice architecture and design, creating sounds that were so unreal
that they have to be heard. For many musicians no other synths in
the world can create analog sounds as cool and as authentic as these.
The Jupiter-8 offers a very interesting combination of a high-pass non
resonant filter and a low-pass resonant filter.
The arpegiator and the keyboard split make it a remarkable performance
keyboard.
Fast envelopes and precise oscillators confer to the Jupiter-8?s
sounds its famous versatility.
You can easily make 'phat' or ?Crystal? sounds with it.
INNOVATIVE ADDITIONS
With the Jupiter-8V Arturia brings this magic back while adding a new
generation of features opening a unique and contemporary sound palette:
The Galaxy allows the user to choose from different LFO types and
intertwine them together into a single unique modulation source, giving
a new evolving element to the sound of the Jupiter 8.
The Jupiter's step sequencer is also an assignable modulation source,
which allows for easily generated patterns to be used to control the many
interesting parameters of the sound.
In addition to the step sequencer and Galaxy modulation sources, each
voice now has its own suite of creative effects, which can be inserted
into the main synthesizer signal path in each voice. Key parameters
from each effect can be modulated by chosen sources, adding a new
contemporary dimension to the traditional subtractive synthesis sound
of the original Jupiter 8.
