Frage: Wie kommt es, dass die Releases von der Version 7 so um die 7GB und die von der Version 8 nur 1,5GB groß sind? Beziehungsweise wo ist der Unterschied in den beigefügten Sounds/was fehlt?
Antwort: Da es sich nicht um Isos der Boxed Edition handelt, kommt das Programm in der Downloadfassung "nur" mit einer ca 2,6GB(entpackt und installiert) großen Library, wovon das Gros in Form von Drumsounds vorliegt. Wer unbedingt mehr Samples braucht findet mittlerweile Unmengen davon (auch hier im Board).
Frage: Interessiere mich eher für Instrumente als für Samples... Kann ich die Instrumente der 7er-Version auch mit der 8er Application benutzen?
Antwort: Du meinst, ob simpler, operator und Konsorten auch weiterhin funktionieren? Antwort: Ja! Und natürlich kann man auch seine alte Library einbinden. Das ist immerhin ein Release von AiR. Da sollten sich solche Bedenken erübrigen.

5) (Doppel-)Klicke & importiere die Datei "Authorize81Mac.auz"

Hier eine Lösung für die, bei denen sich Ableton überhaupt nicht starten lässt, nachdem die Datei "Live" im Ordner "Contents/MacOS" im Paketinhalt ersetzt wurde:
- Öffne ein Terminalfenster (Programme/Dienstprogramme) bzw. Suche nach dem Programm Terminal und starte es
- Tippe im Terminalfenster ein: "sudo -s" gefolgt von deinem Passwort (das Passwort für dein Benutzerkonto). Die Leerzeichen bitte weglassen!
- Tippe im Terminalfenster ein: "cd /Applications/Live\ 8.1\ OS\ X/Live.app/Contents/MacOS/"
- Tippe im Terminalfenster ein: "chmod +x Live"
- Ableton starten und glücklich sein
- Vergesse nicht die Aktivierung zu verweigern/zu verwehren und dann ziehe und lege die Datei "Authorize81Mac.auz" im Fenster von Ableton ab. Wenn das Programm einfriert/nicht mehr reagiert, dann prüfe ob sich ein zweites Fenster hinter dem Hauptfenster verbirgt.

Was muss ich mit dem Crack machen damit ich das Programm nicht authorisieren muss?

edit: 1. Programm-Setup entpacken und installieren
2. Crack-RAR entpacken und die Datei "Live 8.2.exe" in "C:\Program Files\Ableton\Live 8.2\Program" verschieben, bzw. ersetzen
3. Programm starten, Updates & Packs installieren
4. Doppelklick auf "Authorize Suite 820.auz" - fertig
Also hier nochmal für ALLE, dies NICHT verstehen ^^ (bei mir hats nach ein wenig "ausprobiern" dann schlussendlich nämlich SO geklappt!):
1. Version aussuchen, selbige runterladen, entpacken und Installieren (sollte ja klar sein ^^)
2. Crack runterladen, entpacken, nochmals entpacken, weils so schön ist auch gern noch ein drittes mal (es hat mich angekotzt, jedes mal das PW einzugeben (welches "4boerse" lautet).... aber... der Crack ist doch irgendwo in den Tiefen dieser (erst) .rar-Datei, dann 7z.. dann doch wieder rar, drin ^^
3. Aus dem Crack-Ordner die "Live 8.2.exe" in den Ordner "...\Ableton\Live 8.2\Program" einfügen, Original-Datei ersetzen!
4. Ableton Live starten, dabei auswählen, Ableton später zu autorisieren, Packs und bla installieren lassen.
5. Ableton Live schließen, wieder Öffnen und dann bei der Autorisierungsabfrage die Datei "Authorize Suite 820.auz" öffnen, rest funktioniert VOLLAUTOMATISIERT
PS: Es könnte auch sein, dass man schon beim ersten Start bei der Autorisationsabfrage schon die "Authorize Suite 820.auz" öffnen kann.... Aber ich habs halt erst später gemacht, deswegen hab ichs auch so reingeschrieben... So funktionierts bei mir zu mindest EINWANDFREI und läuft, läuft, läuft und läuft!

A new "Upload to SoundCloud" option is available in the Export Audio/Video dialog. When enabled, Live will open an upload client after the file has been rendered to disk, so you can upload the rendered file directly to your SoundCloud account.
Added automatic software updating. When enabled, Live will automatically download and install software updates in the background. Users who update to Live 8.3 from an older Live version will see a dialog box when launching Live 8.3 for the first time, where Automatic Updates can be enabled or disabled. You can always change the settings in Live’s "Licenses/Maintenance" Preferences. More detailed information about Automatic Updates is available in our Knowledge Base.
Changed the naming of the Live application. The application is now called "Ableton Live 8" and does not include a specific revision number. The revision number can still be found in the About screen in the Help menu.
The Windows installer has been updated to a newer version.
