Ran 1985 720p BluRay x264 DL

Im Japan des 16. Jahrhunderts beschließt der alternde Fürst Hidetora, sein Reich unter den Söhnen Taro, Jiro und Saburo aufzuteilen. Als Saburo seinen Vater vor aufkeimenden Familienstreitigkeiten warnt, wird er von ihm verstoßen. Die Befürchtungen Saburos erweisen sich jedoch schnell als begründet: die Truppen Taros und Jiros greifen die Garde Hidetoras an und besiegen sie, Hidetora ist heimatlos und verfällt dem Wahnsinn. Auf der Suche nach dem herumirrenden Vater kehrt Saburo aus dem Exil zurück und wird, als er ihn findet, von Jiros Leuten erschossen, worauf Hidetora aus Verzweiflung stirbt. Gleichzeitig fallen die Nachbarfürsten in das Land ein und verwüsten es.
